Here in this 30-minute training session, you will gain an overview of Pathological Demand Avoidance (PDA) and how it is anxiety-driven. You’ll learn some effective strategies and suggestions for supporting children with PDA profiles.

Suitable for all staff working with autistic pupils and/ or those with a PDA profile.

Our team of specialists and experienced teachers includes Qualified Teachers of the Vision Impaired (QTVIs), Qualified Teachers of the Deaf (QToDs), and SEND advisory teachers who work with Waltham Forest mainstream schools colleagues to meet the needs of pupils with SEND and one of the most effective ways we can do this is through training. You all are welcome to join our informative and interesting training sessions.

Whilst the Centre specialises in SEND provision, its courses are highly relevant to those in mainstream education.
