Totnes Raspberry Pi Jam

We are BBC Micro:bit and Raspberry Pi enthusiasts with a robot elephant we take to Glastonbury Festival and other events. Our 3D body scanner, using Raspberry Pis,  was written about in MagPi www.raspberrypi.org/magpi/issues/63/.

This is the first Raspberry Pi Jam at Bowden House. 
If you thought Raspberry Pi was a dessert, check out RaspberryPi.org for information about this cool micro-computer that opens up the world of digital making, including robotics, home automation and sensors. We will have raspberry buns to eat as well! Raspberry Pi Jams are events run by volunteers to share knowledge and meet other digital makers. There will be Raspberry Pis to play with, so if you have a laptop you may want to bring it along to use with them.  Feel free to bring something for show-and-tell or an unfinished project to work on at the event. Please get in touch with Jan at techandtextiles@gmail.com for a free ticket if you are bringing a project for show-and-tell or if can help at this event.   Booking is essential as there are limited tickets available. Bowden House is approx. 1 mile from Totnes. We have parking for 10 cars only, so please share lifts where possible. There is an off road footpath from Totnes, which is quite steep, so allow at least half an hour to walk, or 20 minutes at an average pace along the road. The Jam is held in a workshop within the walled gardens of a Grade I listed mansion, which is now a community. Access is over uneven garden paths that are sometimes muddy. If that would cause difficulties please contact us to see if we can accommodate your needs. Please respect the privacy of community residents by using the paths as signposted. We will be following the Raspberry Pi Foundation guidelines which can be found at rpf.io/safeguarding
