About this event

We are delighted to welcome birthing women and people to join a tour of the midwife-led Oasis Birth Centre.

W hat

  • Midwife-led tour for around 30 minutes, with opportunity to view the birthing rooms (as we never close, pool room access not guaranteed)
  • Opportunity to ask questions and discuss options for pain management
  • This tour does not visit Maternity or Labour Ward

W ho

  • Birthing woman or person must book separate tickets for self and guest
  • We recommend you join this session closer to your due date, ideally from 32 weeks
  • 12 adults maximum per tour (one ticket per person attending)
  • Children are not permitted

W here

  • Meet at the entrance to the Oasis Birth Centre, 3rd Floor, South Wing, PRUH
  • Please arrive by 16:55pm, latecomers may not be admitted
  • Parking is available in the main hospital carpark (£1.50 p/h) or the Sainsbury's a short walk away

These online workshops are a free resources for service users booked with King's College Hospital and Princess Royal University Hospital (PRUH) and are hosted by midwives, doctors, specialists and maternity support workers. In your first trimester, join the 'Welcome to King's' workshop to hear more about our services. Later in your pregnancy, join the Labour and Birth workshops, Baby Basics and Infant Feeding. For those with more specialist needs, we have Induction of Labour, Birth After Caesarean (if you've had a previous CS), Twins and Multiples, Birth With Confidence and more. If you are looking for peer support consider Black and Minority Ethnic Group or our Spanish language workshop.
