We are building a beach hut

Free, practical workshops  developed as part of the We Are Building A Beach Hut Project

During the workshop you will learn about different timbers, finishes and joinery techniques and use these skills to help construct a frame for signage that will be used as part of the beach hut project.<ul><li>You do not need any prior experience, just a willingness to learn, ask questions and support this project. </li><li>Places are free, but limited and are open to anyone over the age of 18.</li><li>Wear comfortable clothing and sturdy footwear, PPE will be provided. </li><li>Light refreshments will also be available.</li></ul>During each workshop you will also get the chance to learn about the local heritage of beach huts on West Bay, Dunoon and the research generated through the <a href="https://www.tacit-tacit.co.uk/beachhut" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">We are building a beach hut project.</a> If you have any questions about the workshop please contact Claire.Hallybone@argyll-bute.gov.uk

The <a href="https://www.tacit-tacit.co.uk/beachhut" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">We are building a beach hut </a>project is a community led design initiative developed by <a href="https://www.tacit-tacit.co.uk/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Tacit Tacit</a> and a local team of creative practitioners based at the <a href="https://www.popshop.scot/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">POP shop</a>, Dunoon. The project is delivered in partnership with the <a href="https://www.dunoonareaalliance.org/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Dunoon Area Alliance </a>and <a href="https://www.argyll-bute.gov.uk/dunoon-regeneration" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Dunoon CARS project</a>.
