Now in its third year, this innovative programme, designed specifically for third sector leaders, consists of two full days and three half days spread over a five month period.

Sessions led by: Joette Thomas, Lead Partner, Animate Consulting

ACOSVO are offering this Transforming Leadership programme as a compelling and reframing opportunity to replenish you and your organisations’ resilience and energy. The course allows you space and time to reflect, take stock, and consider new possibilities for yourself and your organisation with your peers.

The Programme is designed to fit with your busy working-life, blending a mixture of full and half days with the option for individual coaching sessions (face-to-face, Skype, telephone) with third sector expert and course leader, Joette Thomas.

During the programme you will:

Learn, and apply, tools and theories of positive psychology, neuroscience and organisational development’ which have a particular emphasis on building resilience, and attend to teams’ being as well as their doing.

Have an eye on change in both your organisation and yourself… supporting it, leading it and preparing for the on-going requirement for transformation and collaboration that is the third sector’s ‘new reality’.

Take stock, reflect on yourself and the organisation you are leading with fresh eyes…and develop plans for growth – however you define it – for the future.

Full days:

Tuesday, 17 March, 10:00 - 16:00

Thursday, 2 April, 10:00 -16:00

Half days:

Tuesday, 5 May, 10:00 - 13:00

Thursday, 21 May, 10:00 - 13:00

Thursday, 11 June, 10:00 - 13:00

Course times will be 10am-4pm on full days and 10am-1pm for half days (including lunch)

About the facilitator:

Joette Thomas is a former third sector senior manager and CEO, who has worked as an organisational development consultant and coach since 2004, in which capacity she has worked with hundreds of leaders in the third and public sectors.

Having completed an MA in Psychology in 1993, and becoming a Certified Coach in 2004, she is currently interested in the growing field of ‘Positive Psychology’, and neuroscience, and their applications both in organisations and every- day life. Joette has a Diploma in Organisational Consultancy (2007), and enjoys the opportunities that her work offers to use her training and experience to support people and organisations to flourish. She is particularly passionate about working with third sector leaders, and organisations.
