Would you like support on how to adapt to your new environment?

Jumping in to the ‘real world’ can be daunting, stressful and challenging, especially if you’re not prepared and you don’t know what to expect.

Whether you’re waiting to start your new job or you’re already working, the purpose of this workshop is to provide young professionals with the skills necessary to make the smooth transition from leaving formal education to entering the professional working world.

This workshop will cover and discuss the following topics:

• The difference between life at university and the working world
• The challenges faced during the transition
• Adapting to a new lifestyle
• Differentiating university friends from work colleagues
• Communicating with people at work
• How to approach difficult situations
• Dealing/managing stress in your new job
• Your rights as an employee
• Managing your work/life balance
