The Joyful Company of Singers - JCS - is one of Britain’s leading amateur chamber choirs, committed to performing a wide and challenging repertoire.This concert's programme of choral works by British composers includes arrangements of Northumbrian folksongs plus pieces by John Casken, James MacMillan, Charles Hubert Parry, John Tavener, Ralph Vaughan Williams and Judith Bingham.For this performance we will be joined by poet and author Katrina Porteous, a long-term resident of Northumbria.
