Translating Industrial Foresight into Workforce Action

Translating Industrial Foresight into Workforce Action

Overview

Please join us to explore how the UK can bridge the gap between long-term industrial foresight and practical workforce planning.

The UK must bridge the gap between long-term industrial foresight and practical workforce planning.

Funded by Innovate UK and delivered in collaboration with skillsminer.ai, Hatchett Consulting, ORE Catapult is leading a new approach to translate insights from five in-depth foresight studies into actionable skills intelligence for industry.

We are developing a new online platform designed to help industry, educators, employers and employees prepare for the clean energy transition with clarity and confidence.

What will this session cover?
At this in person session, we will introduce the platform and demonstrate how it can be used for practical workforce planning within your organisation. You will be guided through how to use the platform to:

  • Identify future and emerging skills gaps
  • Track skills changes driven by new and emerging technologies
  • Build future job profiles
  • Generate insights to inform workforce, training and investment decisions

We are also seeking your feedback on this platform. Your input will directly inform the next phase and will provide key recommendations to Innovate UK.

Lunch will also be provided.

Who should attend?
This session is designed for workforce planners, technical managers, HR and skills leaders, operations managers, and others involved in managing workforce capability and shaping the future offshore wind workforce.

This session is not aimed at academics, we will be hosting a separate session to engage with those from an academic background, if you are intereted in that session, please register your interest here.
