“We want to hear your experiences of accessing and using transport services…”
The Department for Transport has published its draft Transport Accessibility Action Plan for public consultation. This Action Plan sets out the Government’s proposed strategy for reducing the barriers faced by people with visible and hidden disabilities accessing and using transport services.
As part of the consultation, we will be holding a workshop at The Hilton Leeds City on Tuesday 31 October, to hear directly from disabled transport users, passenger and consumer groups, transport providers and regulators. 
Participants will have the opportunity to contribute to group discussions on a range of transport issues covering air travel, rail travel, buses and taxis and the pedestrian environment.
Space is limited with places being allocated on a first come, first served basis. Please register as soon as possible.

What are my transport/parking options for getting to and from the event?
Instructions on reaching the venue by public transport are provided below. If you need alternative advice or extra advice on transport please contact Hilton Leeds City Hotel on 0113 244 2000.
From Leeds Bradford Airport: Head towards Rawdon on the A65,  then the M621 towards Leeds city center. Follow the road,  staying in the left-hand lane,  and the Hilton Leeds City hotel is situated on the left-hand side. From Leeds City Train Station by foot: Leeds City Train Station is approximately a three minute walk to the hotel. Leave via the new South Entrance located on the south concourse above Platform 16. Bear left after exiting and cross the foot bridge onto Little Neville Street. Walk to the end of Little Neville Street, Hilton Leeds City is located on the left hand side. Hotel Car Park: The hotel has an onsite car park for 80 vehicles. Large cars and 4x4's can access and be parked with care,  but please be aware of tight turning areas. Bicycle Hire: Cycle Point is a bicycle hire company who are based at Leeds City Station and encourage people to travel to and from the station by bike. They also offer secure parking,  retail and repair services.
