Overview

Utilising creative and mindfulness practices to explore emotional regulation

Early Years Music Scotland is delivering a year-long programme of free, high-quality, creative and inspiring continuous professional learning and development for musicians working with children in the early years across Scotland, supported by Creative Scotland's Youth Music Initiative.

This workshop is free-of-charge to musicians who are resident in Scotland and working with children in the early years (0-5yrs). Non-Scottish residents and non-musicians may purchase a ticket.

This workshop will be recorded and available to view for one month following the event. The recording will be sent to all ticket holders within 48 hours of the event.

--

This workshop will utilise creative and mindfulness practices while teaching you about your ‘Window of Tolerance’ and how to regulate your emotions. It will show practitioners how to work with their own ‘Window of Tolerance’ as well as recognising this in the children they work with.

This workshop will be delivered by Jo D'arc of Danssa Yoga. Jo is a yoga & meditation teacher, musician, writer, and artist based in Fife. She has worked across numerous sectors including local authority and third sector as well as privately. Jo currently delivers a coaching service for Link Living, working with those who have experienced childhood trauma, using mindfulness and creative practices combined with CBT techniques, under the supervision of NHS Clinical Psychology.
