<h2>The Gift of Reconnection: Developing Trauma Informed Practice</h2><h2>Silver Level</h2>

<h2>About this event</h2><h3>By registering, you will gain first access to a pre-recorded training in trauma informed practice. </h3><p>Please note, this will not be a live training session. You will be sent a link to this recording which can be accessed anytime after this date. </p><p>As part of a wider campaign to increase access to training in trauma informed practice, Nicola Lester Psychological Trauma Consultancy is now providing a recorded open access training to support individuals and organisations to achieve the Silver Level: Developing Trauma Informed Practice.</p><p><strong>Please note, this is the second level of the series.</strong> Please access the bronze level training before you access the silver level. This online recorded training workshop is comprised of two chapters each lasting between 45-60 minutes. </p><h3>Overview of the training</h3><p>At the silver level, we move beyond developing an awareness of the impact of trauma to thinking about how we ‘practice’ a trauma informed approach. This is broken down into two key areas; therapeutic skills for reconnection and creativity in trauma informed practice. Whilst trauma informed practice is not about ‘treating’ trauma or providing ‘therapy’, it is about being ‘therapeutic’ and sitting in the darkness beside someone demands an understanding of connection, empathy, compassion, courage and vulnerability and kindness. In this session we establish the skills needed to bear witness to distress and remain present, withhold judgement and hold space and to ‘steward’ stories.</p><p>Specific chapters include:</p><ol><li>From disconnection to reconnection-therapeutic skills for practice </li><li>Creative trauma informed practice</li></ol><p>Additional resources and training materials are provided to all participants, and will be accessible on <a href="https://thriveldn.co.uk/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Thrive LDN</a>&#x27;s website and through the training link. Upon completion of a post-training survey, eligible participants will receive a certificate reflecting their achievement of the silver level status and will permitted to use the respective status symbol to demonstrate their awareness of trauma.</p><p><strong>Please note that eligibility to be awarded the silver level status will require evidence that you have completed the bronze level status as well as completion of all two of the silver level chapters. </strong></p><p>Once this level has been completed you have the option to take the gold level training, which will be released on 23rd March 2023. </p>

<h3>Further information</h3><p>This series of trauma informed training sessions are funded and supported by the Mayor of London under the remit of the Mental Health and Wellbeing Recovery Mission, which is being delivered in partnership with Thrive LDN. <h2>G﻿etting Through This Together</h2><p><a href="https://thriveldn.co.uk/communications/campaign/getting-through-this-together/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Getting Through This Together</a> is a new campaign which has been developed by Thrive LDN in response to the increased cost-of-living pressures.</p><p>It aims to encourage Londoners to strengthen their social networks with family members and friends, and trusted others in their community – which we know is going to be a significant factor in supporting people during this period. As well as highlighting the professional support and advice services which are available.</p><p>The Gift of Reconnection training series forms part of the campaign's range of tools and resources to protect and enhance people’s mental wellbeing, so that they can adapt and thrive after their lives have been disrupted by current shocks. </p>
