<h3>Join a free online training course designed for community organisations and individuals working directly with displaced people and those in crisis in London.</h3> On behalf of the Thrive LDN, <a href="https://healthydialogues.co.uk/" title="https://healthydialogues.co.uk/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Healthy Dialogues</a> is delivering free, online community resilience trauma-informed practice training workshops.

About the training sessionsThis training is an introduction to trauma-informed practice within the context of disasters and emergencies.Trauma-informed practice is an approach which aims to increase our awareness of trauma and how it can impact on individuals, groups and communities. Being trauma-informed is not about treating someone’s trauma. It is about improving access to support for those who have experienced trauma, in a way that prevents re-traumatisation.This interactive and engaging training will provide staff and volunteers with the knowledge and skills to support Londoners who have experienced emergencies, shocks or stresses in a trauma-informed way.Throughout the training, we will be discussing sensitive topics related to trauma and traumatic experiences. We will share training materials ahead of the training, to ensure that you can appropriately prepare yourself ahead of the session, although there will be opportunities for discussions in which topics which may be distressing or triggering could come up. Who is this training suited for?This training would be suitable for you if you are:<ul><li>In a community role, professionally or voluntarily, supporting displaced people and/or those in crisis.</li><li>Working in London’s health and care system who are supporting others during and following emergencies, disasters and shocks.</li><li>In a broader frontline role in London and interested in building your awareness of trauma and trauma informed practice.</li></ul>Due to limited capacity we are limiting registration at up to two places per singular organisation.
