Trauma Informed Training Level 2

4 Frampton StLondon, England
Wednesday, Feb 25 from 10 am to 1:30 pm GMT
Overview

The session builds on knowledge of complex trauma gained in part1 and introduces a range of evidence based trauma informed interventions.

This three hour face to face training will build on the knowledge gained in the introductory session by providing participants with the opportunity to further develop their knowledge of ‘complex trauma’ and to become familiar with and able to consider a number of evidence based trauma informed interventions.

Specifically, the workshop will:

  • Offer a very brief recap of the introduction to trauma training.
  • Introduce a number of Compassion Focused Therapy concepts and psycho educational tools that support service users to understand the underlying causes of their current difficulties and internalise that ‘it is not their fault’.
  • Introduce some attachment informed games and activities that will enable service users to further develop and / or begin to repair ruptures to their filial relationships.
  • Further develop skills in mindfulness and visualisations that promote emotional self - regulation and reduce levels of anger and anxiety.
  • Provide a collaborative space for attendees as we can think together about trauma-informed practice in individuals’ case work.
