How being Trauma-Informed improves practice in human services. With long term improved outcomes for those who are traumatised.

The King's Centre

This training is aimed at those who support others to enable them to become a value added provider, or to go above and beyond their job description. This involves listening and responding to the frustrations and needs of people with complex needs as they try to access good care. Whilst relying on the basic motivation of staff and volunteers to provide good care which can work in some places, all too often this requires staff and volunteers to work around, or against, a system that was simply not designed to meet the needs of people with complex needs and trauma.This training is provided by Together UK, Norfolk County Council and Change Grow Live. The training will be delivered by Jane Donohoe Training. Face to face session - no virtual alternative. Location: Conference Room 2, The King’s Centre, King Street, Norwich, NR1 1PH.Arrival: 09:15 Training: 09:30 - 16:00 Morning and afternoon tea/coffee will be available. Lunch provided.No parking on site. *Suggested nearby parking is at Rose Lane Car Park, 72-76 Mountergate, Norwich, NR1 1PY. We look forward to seeing you there. Please note;<ul><li>Booking your place confirms you have approved this with your line manager.</li><li>We do not accept bulk bookings or booking on someone elses behalf. If you think someone on your team would like to book, please send them the link so they can book their own place in their own name.</li><li>Please fill out the order form in full. You may risk loosing your space if the form is not completed in full.</li><li>If you book a place and do not attend, you will be charged a fee of £100.</li><li>Late cancellations will also be charged a fee of £100.</li><li>If you do have to cancel, please do so in good time by emailing katie.docwra@cgl.org.uk and cancel your place via Eventbrite as soon as possible so that others may have the opportunity to attend.</li></ul> <ul><li>Please be aware; photos will be taken at the event and a list of all the professional attendees, their organisations and email addresses may be emailed to all after the event for their own ‘useful contact sheet’.</li><li>Each attendee will get a ‘Certificate of Attendance’ once the feedback form is completed following the event.</li></ul>
