Trauma

This half day online course provides a practical overview for employers and businesses on supporting staff who may have experienced trauma.

· How can I support an employee who has experienced trauma ?

The trainer : Mark Seymour founded The Sanctuary in 2008, a small grass roots charity project supporting Refugees and Asylum Seekers in Newport. He has 20 years of experience of supporting refugees and asylum seeker communities in Newport. Mark had 25 year’s experience as a senior teacher at an inner city primary school in Cardiff, before joining the Sanctuary’s staff in September 2017. He has fostered for over 15 years, including several asylum seeking young people.

The training is delivered through a multi-media, participatory approach, and explores Mark’s own personal experiences and extensive knowledge gained through his direct, practical work with Refugee Communities.
