Footsteps (Faiths for a Low Carbon Future) brings together faith groups in Birmingham to respond to the challenge of moving to a low carbon future.Many faith communities are taking their own actions to help the environment; by coming together we can take footsteps side-by-side towards our common goal.  The main way Footsteps does this is by organising interfaith and multi-faith events to explore our responses to the high carbon present, and take action towards a low carbon future.A small organising committee, with representatives from each of the main faith groups, meets once every few months to plan the events.

<H3>Exploring Food, Faith & Living Sustainably</H3>
As part of National Interfaith Week, join us to explore the topic of ‘Low Carbon Food’ from different faith perspectives. As in previous years, we’ll have speakers from faith & environmental groups sharing initiatives that have worked for them.  Alongside the speakers, there will space to reflect & discuss with other people, considering ideas that you might take back to your own faith community.

Organised by Footsteps with Guru Nanak Gurdwara (Smethwick) & Living the Change.
Including contributions from Eco Sikh, Bahai faith, Faiths for the Future and about local projects and initiatives. 
We’re delighted that this year we will be reaching out to the Black Country, and holding a major Footsteps event at a Sikh venue for the first time.
<H4>Low carbon travel to the venue from Birmingham city centre</H4>

<LI>2 minutes walk from Smethwick Rolfe St train station (a short journey from Birmingham New St)</LI>
<LI>15 minutes walk from Smethwick Galton Bridge station (on the train line from Moor St & Snow Hill towards Stourbridge).</LI>
<LI>20 minutes cycle from Sherbourne Wharf along the Birmingham – Wolverhampton Canal.</LI>
