Event description

Description

Knife crime is an epidemic that cannot be solved by one agency or organisation in isolation. We’ve heard the calls for a more holistic public health approach to the crisis: an ambition that all relevant agencies and services work together more effectively… But how do we make this public health approach a reality and what would this look like in practice?

In this panel discussion, we will explore the policies and strategies that a future Labour Government could and should adopt to halt the rise in knife crime and find a solution to its root causes. On our panel, we are delighted be joined by Lord Kennedy (Labour and Co-op), Shadow Spokesperson (Home Affairs). Further speakers to be confirmed.

The Young Fabians Health Network is running this event in collaboration with the Young Fabians BAME Advocacy Group, the Devolution and Local Government Network and the Education Network.

Arrive from 6.30pm for a 7pm start (please note, security checks can take 20-30 minutes).
