Meet Marco Sousa - Product Designer at Facebook

Marco Sousa (He/Him) is a product designer at Facebook. He leads multiple projects in the interfaces team for Workplace, Facebook's SaaS collaboration platform. Initially developed as an internal tool, Workplace has been adopted by some of the world's biggest companies, from Walmart and Starbucks to and the WWF.

Before joining Facebook in 2017, Marco spent almost 10 years creating consumer and enterprise apps for organisations like Transport for London, Unilever, ING and Ford and redesigning mobile apps for what was Spain's most popular social network, Tuenti.

Meet Matt Cooper - Software Engineer at Thread

Matt Cooper (He/Him) is a software engineer on the growth team at Thread. He works on building new features for Thread’s users, running experiments, and making sure all the data needed to analyse results is collected. He organised Thread’s group for this year’s Pride In London parade and recently won the illustrious award of ‘most likely to foul’ on Thread’s football team.

Outside of work, Matt is an avid football fan and volunteers with organisations focused on making football more inclusive and open. He also enjoys long train rides through the countryside, escape rooms and getting lost in museums.

Meet Elliot Inskip - Strategist, AmazeRealise

Elliot (They/He) is a Strategist at AmazeRealise in the Kin+Carta group, working in cross-functional teams to solve customer experience, business, and marketing challenges for clients across industries from luxury automotive to non-profit. They’re also leading the LGBTQIA+ network for the agency’s Diversity & Inclusion programme and sitting on two committees with Outvertising+ - a not-for-profit LGBTQ+ advertising lobbying group.

Outside of office hours, you’ll find them supporting their friendly local drag artists, playing D&D, or exploring London’s green spaces.

Meet Jason Foo - Head of Product Design at World Remit

Jason (He/Him) is Head of Product Design at WorldRemit, leading the design team in a company focused on helping people - mostly migrants - send money abroad to their family, friends and loved ones. Previously, Head of Design at Kahoot!, a game-based learning platform with a mission to Make Learning Awesome that organically grew to reach over 50 million learners every month.

Jason’s main passion is family, supporting two energetic children. Seeing them learn rapidly and experience new adventures for the first time is his primary source of joy and inspiration. Currently found playing with trains, lego and hosting tea parties most evenings and weekends.

Meet Brendan Kearns - Founder of Studio Rival

Brendan (He/Him) is a designer and founder of Rival – a digital product studio in London. He works with startups, brands, and VCs to launch digital products and services that people love. Prior to launching his own practice, Brendan was a lead product designer at companies like Google, Twitter, and InVision.
