Trowbridge Stanza Book Launch: Looking Up – Poems of Hope and Humanity

Trowbridge Poetry Stanza and Drawing Projects UK are delighted to invite you to the launch of the Trowbridge Stanza's first poetry anthology, Looking Up – Poems of Hope and Humanity.

Trowbridge Poetry Stanza is a group of local writers who meet monthly at Drawing Projects UK to write, listen to and discuss poetry. It’s a friendly, supportive group open to everyone from published poets to occasional scribblers.

Looking Up is the group’s first book, and its uplifting theme chosen was chosen to honour the work of Dorothy House Hospice Care, who every year support thousands of people in our community who have a life-limiting diagnosis. There are poems of joy and reflection, of peace and, of course, humour.

The book, which has been written, edited, illustrated, proofread and typeset by members of Trowbridge Stanza, will be on sale at the event, where poets will be reading some poems aloud in Drawing Projects UK’s lovely gallery spaces. The Arthaus Café will be open for coffee and cake until 3pm, so do arrive in good time for refreshments!

The event is free, with admission by ticket only.

Please bring cash if you would like to purchase the book, which will be on sale for £10, with all proceeds in aid of Dorothy House Hospice Care.
