Before that, she was Director of Mission, Learning and Development in the Diocese of Birmingham. She was previously Theologian in Residence at the Bible Society after being a lecturer in New Testament and Biblical studies at The Queen's Foundation, Ripon College, Cuddesdon and the University of Oxford. She holds honorary positions at the Universities of Durham and St Andrew's, and is a Visiting Lecturer at Kings College, London.
