Tuberous Sclerosis Complex (TSC) Study Day

What is TSC? Tuberous Sclerosis Complex (TSC) is a genetic condition that can lead to growths in various organs of the body and affects people in range of different ways.  The parts of the body that are most commonly affected are the brain, eyes, heart, kidney, skin and lungs. TSC can cause epilepsy, developmental delay, learning disabilities and autism.
What training is offered? The Tuberous Sclerosis Association (TSA) is hosting a free, one-day CPD multi-disciplinary training day which will include a series of tailored workshops aimed at professionals from a range of disciplines who work with individuals affected by TSC.
Who should attend? The training is designed for non-specialist healthcare professionals, teachers and teaching assistants, support and residential care workers and social workers.
What will I learn? The training will provide a deeper understanding of TSC and its effects and how non-specialist professionals can work together to support individuals affected by TSC to live healthy and fulfilling lives.   It will also provide an opportunity to bring together professionals from across a range of disciplines to share experiences and knowledge.

(Workshops will be repeated 3 times, to ensure all delegates have the opportunity to attend all 3.)
