Description
Turing Talks is a one day conference which will showcase the best of the Technology and Development industry. Held at the National Museum of Scotland on 13th June, the conference promises to be one of the highlights of the Scottish Tech calendar in 2017.
Over the last 2 years the Turing Trust has been developing its innovative solar-powered IT classroom, the SolarBerry. Through the development of the SolarBerry, the Turing Trust came to realise how vibrant and dynamic the tech scene in Edinburgh is, noting however that there was no real platform to highlight the way technology is disrupting traditional approaches to development.
And so, Turing Talks was created as a platform for ideas to be shared, for connections to be made and for change to happen. We reached out to the boldest and the brightest in the TechDev industry to ask them to come and showcase amazing work happening across the sector and have secured a phenomenal speaker lineup, including organisations such as Microsoft, Barclays, IBM, Sage, UNICEF, and the European Space Agency.
Not only will Turing Talks be a space for synergies to be created and knowledge to be shared, it will also help fund the vital work done by the Turing Trust bridging the digital divide in Africa.
The conference will provide excellent networking opportunities for delegates throughout the day, including a drinks reception. Check out the agenda here.
The exhibition features a demonstration of the SolarBerry and an opportunity to meet the team who have developed this; a chance to inspect a Tesla; opportunity to see for yourself a prototype tracking device; and discover the innovative work fom Scottish students at our poster presentations.
