Description

Turing talks for techUK.jpg

Turing Talks is a one day conference held at the National Museum of Scotland, Edinburgh. It will explore innovative technology from across the Tech, Finance, Health, and Education industries and its use in a development.

The aim of Turing Talks is to bring together professionals from across these industries who are eager to make change happen and to disrupt the current views on development. The conference has attracted an inspirational lineup of speakers from IBM, UNICEF, Microsoft, Barclays, SAGE, the ESA, and a variety of organisations with a background in using tech to challenge convention and provides excellent networking opportunities for delegates throughout the day. Check out the agenda here.

The exhibition features a demonstration of the SolarBerry and an opportunity to meet the team who have developed this; a chance to inspect a Tesla; opportunity to see for yourself a prototype tracking device; and discover the innovative work fom Scottish students at our poster presentations.

We round off the day with a drinks reception and anticipate lively discussions sparked by the wealth of projects which have been presented and the presence of so many people passionate about bringing about change in the developing world.

In addition to sharing the outstanding work of our speakers and the chance to network with likeminded professionals, the Turing Talks also allows attendees to support the work of the Turing Trust in sub-Saharan Africa.
