An information event for Turtle Doves in partnership with the RSPB and Operation Turtle Dove

As part of the <a href="https://www.newlifeoldwest.org.uk/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">New Life on the Old West</a> project and in partnership with the <a href="https://www.rspb.org.uk/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">RSPB</a> and <a href="https://www.operationturtledove.org/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Operation Turtle Dove</a>, we have organised an event for local landowners, Parish Councils and volunteers. The event will raise awareness of turtle doves, sadly the UK’s fastest declining bird species, and their habitat requirements. Cambridgeshire remains an extremely important area for turtle doves, and there is a lot we can do in the county to help ensure their ongoing survival. On the day, you will hear from an RSPB Conservation Officer, and a Farmer, about the ongoing work within Cambridgeshire to support the species, and what you can do to help! We will also take a walk around the farm to provide you with an opportunity to see habitats which have been created. It would be great to hear whether you have already created turtle dove habitat, are considering doing so or have seen or heard a turtle dove this year (we have!).
