Meander: Songs from Source to Sea
Meander is an ambitious project led by folk musician Kirsty Law and supported by Connecting Threads. Over three weeks in May and June, Kirsty will be walking the length of the River Tweed, meeting with musicians and writers, sharing songs and stories as she develops a new song cycle. Along the way Kirsty will be running workshops and holding 'musical conversations' at indoor venues and on the riverbank - sharing her findings with the places and communities that inspired them.

Tweedside Meandering: A Folksong Session with Kirsty Law
Learn and share songs along the banks of the River Tweed around Abbotsford House - the home of great writer, storyteller and folk song collactor, Walter Scott. Join Kirsty Law as she makes a stop on her walking tour where she will be digging in to old Scots language, writing new songs and exploring old ones. Join in with the group (encouraged), bring a song to share (optional) and see how these stories relate to the environment around us.

Toilets
The visitor center will be closed during this event so there will be no toilet facilities available.
