Two Trios plus a SoloGUE GUE is a trio of Jacken Elswyth on banjo, Laurel Uziell on electronics, and David Grundy on electronics and melodica. Improvisations which may veer into tonality, melodies, echoes, and noises. Jacken Elswyth is a member of Shovel Dance Collective and runs the cassette label Betwixt and Between. Laurel Uziell is a poet and part of the duo Egg Meat. David Grundy is a poet, writer and improviser based in Lewisham.Alex McKenzie/Nat Philipps/Nicholas Hann (saxophone trio) Alex McKenzie is a muti-instrumentalist who performs in projects such as Gentle Stranger and Shovel Dance Collective. Nat Philipps is a saxophonist, composer and improviser inspired by jazz, free and improvised music, folk and Bach. Nicholas Hann is a saxophonist/Sheng and Shakuhachi player and is concerned with how the world, history and variety of woodwind instruments can inform modern saxophone playing.Tom Mills (solo theremin)Tom Mills is an electronic musician based in London. In addition to his solo work he plays Theremin in the group Bobhowler with Alicia Gardener-Trejo and Andrew Woodhead and also played on the album ‘Improvisers Inside Electronics’ alongside Antonio Acunzo, Tony Hardie-Bick and N.O Moore.waterintobeer, Brockley, South East LondonDoors: 6:30pm for a 7pm start£5 (Note early start time)
