A free monthly space for writers to share their poems, flash fiction, monologues, short story or novel extracts, hosted by the Tees Women Poets in association with Stockton Libraries. Our headliner this month is Jenny Foulds. Jenny is a big hearted human who has a brain brimming with ridiculous nonsense. She writes and performs rambunctious spoken word poetry about late night tales, love, friendship and misbehaving. Jenny is the 2021 Scottish Poetry Slam Champion as well as host and curator of the poetry night Rebel Soapbox. Prepare for a whirlwind adventure through her wonderful world.To claim one of ten open mic slots and read your poetry or prose, please contact TWPopenmic@gmail.com.Our open mic is open to everyone from everywhere, with a particular welcome for writers who are women and/or from Teesside. We do not permit hateful or offensive speech, and reserve the right to refuse entry or remove anyone behaving inappropriately. We ask all readers and performers to send us the text of their work in advance, so we can screen share it for our deaf audience members.Every third Tuesday of the monthThis event is hosted on Zoom.
