淺談首次創作記實漫畫，過程中學到的一二事
漫畫創作者 Kayla 將會分享新書《我在英國U記工作》的創作過程，報告有關非虛構漫畫、寫作靈感、以及移英港人身份的種種觀察。
此分享將以廣東話中文進行。

自2021年的香港人移民潮，十六萬多人前後在英國落腳。在英國找到港人蹤影的地方之一，竟然是港人深愛的日牌連鎖服裝店「 U 記 」？！這是一個從倫敦走到愛丁堡，訴說兩位移英港人 U 記打工史，與尋找落腳地的故事！

作者介紹:
Kayla
香港人，畫漫畫，目前定居在倫敦，擅長敘述一些沒什麼情節的故事。她就讀倫敦 Camberwell 藝術學院插畫系，畢業後即參加香港藝術中心的《漫熱》漫畫大師班，於 2021 年自費出版首本漫畫書《大龍鳳酒家》。以及《泥漿派對》（2024，Klub Zin 出版）、《人海》 (2025, Physical Interface 出版）、各種小誌。2025 年參與首屆「在場 · 非虛構漫畫獎學金」，並成立小型漫畫出版社 9010 PRESS。偶然也會舉辦工作坊與活動之類。想吃豆腐花。

Event Title: Comics, Diaspora, and Fish: A Book Sharing for I Work In Store U In The UK.
Comic artist Kayla will share the creative process behind her new book , reporting her observations of non-fiction comics, writing inspirations, and the identity of Hong Kong immigrants in the UK.
This presentation will be conducted in Cantonese.
About I Work In Store U In The UK
Since the Hong Kong emigration wave in 2021, over 160,000 people have settled in the UK. One of the places where Hong Kongers can found in the UK is surprisingly the beloved Japanese fashion chain that they call "Store U". From London to Edinburgh, hear the story of two Hongkongers who work in Store U, and their journey to find a place of landing.

About the author
Kayla
A comic artist from Hong Kong who is currently residing in London. She particularly like to tells stories without much plot. She studied illustration at Camberwell College of Art in London, and after graduating, participated in the Comic Fever masterclass programme in Hong Kong Arts Centre. In 2021, she self-published her first comic book Dailongfeng Restaurant, followed by Mud Party (2024, published by Klub Zin), Sea of People (2025, published by Physical Interface), and various other zines. In 2025 she was a fellow of the first Non-fiction Comics Frontline Fellowship and established the indie comic book publisher 9010 PRESS. She occasionally holds workshops and events.
