Join ODI HQ, ODI Leeds and The Data City  for an open exploration of the organisations and businesses that make up the UK data landscape.

<h2>Tuesday 29th June 2021</h2><h2>Online only</h2><h2>12:00 PM - 13:00 PM BST </h2><h2>An open session to begin the exploration of the UK data landscape. </h2><p></p><p>We are working alongside The Data City on a new and innovative project to build a picture of the UK&#x27;s data landscape, led by the Open Data Institute. </p><p>What role is data already playing in our economy? Which organisations are collecting, sharing or selling data? Which are using it to provide valuable services, insights and digital tools? That&#x27;s just a few of many questions that we hope to explore and answer via this project. As data becomes increasingly important and foundational for so many services, businesses, etc. it&#x27;s important to understand all of the subtle and obvious interactions that take place, and who is involved.</p><p>We would like to invite you to learn and build an understanding of the UK data landscape and to share with us your thoughts so we can continue to develop and improve this project - bring your ideas, questions and opinions!</p><h3></h3><h3>Q&amp;A</h3><p><strong>Where is the link to the Zoom session?</strong></p><p>The sessions are completely &#x27;open&#x27; as everyone is welcome to register, but in order to help keep the sessions safe from gate-crashers <strong>we do not post the link anywhere online</strong>. The only way to get the link to the session is to register via Eventbrite and then we send the details out before the session begins.</p><p><strong>I can&#x27;t find the email with the details.</strong></p><p>When we send the event details, it will not come from &#x27;ODI Leeds.&#x27; It will <strong>come from Eventbrite</strong> and will have the event title in the subject line. So a couple of things could have happened here:</p><ul><li>If you are using a company-issued device, it&#x27;s possible that emails from services like Eventbrite are automatically blocked or sent to junk folders. Please check all of your email folders OR use a non-work email to register.</li><li>You&#x27;ve entered your email incorrectly at the time of registration. You will know this has happened because you won&#x27;t receive the automatic &#x27;you have registered for this event&#x27; welcome email. If this is the case, you <a href="http://mailto:hello@odileeds.org" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">can contact the team at ODI Leeds </a>to manually change your registration info. </li><li>It has simply been buried somewhere in busy inboxes. We can relate. We send out more than one reminder, including one just before the session begins, so please keep an eye on your inbox. </li></ul><p></p><p><strong>When will I be sent the Zoom details?</strong></p><p>We will send out a reminder email <strong>the day before</strong> the session, and a reminder on the day <strong>20 minutes before</strong> the session begins. </p><p></p><p>* Please note that these sessions will have  closed captioning; this is to make the discussion accessible to all. If you wish to turn this off, you will need to do so in your personal Zoom account settings.</p>
