Ukrainian Dance Workshop
Alley Way Learning Skill Sharing Workshop
Living Roots: Ukrainian Dance Workshop
What you will learn
In this workshop, we will explore Ukrainian dance through feeling, emotion, and imagery. You’ll be guided through the unique character of Ukrainian movement — its grounded connection to the earth, as well as its lightness, strength, and femininity.
This experience goes beyond learning steps. It is about discovering mood, tradition, freedom, and the joy of movement.
The workshop is open to everyone, including complete beginners — no previous dance experience is needed.
Meet your workshop leader: Tetiana Shapoval
Tetiana Shapoval is a choreographer from Ukraine with over twenty years of experience in teaching and performance. She specialises in folk, ballroom, and classical dance.
Her approach centres on dance as an expression of culture, emotion, and the joy of movement.
