Overview

Alley Way Learning Skill Sharing Workshop

Living Roots: Ukrainian Dance Workshop

What you will learn
At this workshop, participants will be introduced to the basic elements of Ukrainian dance, learning to feel the rhythm while exploring the character and expression of movement. We will work on coordination, fluidity, posture, and expressiveness, as well as learning how to convey emotions through dance.

The workshop is open to everyone, including complete beginners — no previous dance experience is needed.

Through this workshop, I would love to share the energy, character, and beauty of Ukrainian dance in a light and friendly atmosphere, while also introducing participants to the richness of Ukrainian culture. We will explore movement, emotion, rhythm, and a small piece of Ukrainian tradition.

Meet your workshop leader:
Tetiana Shapoval
I am a choreographer and dance teacher from Ukraine with several years of experience teaching and working with children, teenagers, and adults in folk, ballroom, and classical dance. In my work, I focus not only on technique but also on expression, confidence, musicality, and the joy of movement.

For me, dance is a way to bring people together, share culture, and help people open up and feel more confident in themselves. That is why I am so passionate about sharing it with others.
