Under dark skies

Jersey Astronomy ClubJersey, St Brelade
Friday 15 May  •  Starts at 9 PM
Overview

Stand beneath Jersey’s dark skies, gaze into the vast cosmos, and rediscover a sense of wonder with Neil Mahrer.

Led by Neil, this evening walk begins at the Jersey Astronomy Club at Les Creux and heads towards Beauport as dusk settles.

As darkness takes hold, the sky begins to open. Points of light sharpen, patterns emerge, and what is usually lost to artificial light becomes visible again. Along the way, participants are introduced to the constellations and planets that become visible after dark.

If skies are clear, we’ll venture out. If cloud cover prevents viewing, the walk will be rescheduled or replaced with an indoor astronomy presentation.
