From neolithic beginnings to Blockers’ Seaside, Punk gigs to rave collectives, the River Lea has been a source of inspiration for Luton.Join us as we document and retell the history of the River Lea and its stories of activism and music subcultures. In this creative assembly you’ll have the opportunity to share your story and delve deep into the archives.What to Expect:<ul><li>Delve deep into the archives of Exodus Collective</li><li>Learn about Luton’s history of activism</li></ul>But why now? Too often, stories like that of the Exodus Collective have been overshadowed by traditional narratives, risking their disappearance from our memory. We invite you to put the story on the map.This event is part of Undercurrent – a project that documents and re-tells Luton’s heritage of activism and music sub-cultures connecting to the River Lea.A Revoluton Arts project, in partnership with Marsh Farm Outreach and supported by the National Lottery Heritage Fund, Arts Council England and Bloomberg Philanthropies.
