An event not to be missed! Celebrating Thomas Telford's 11-mile Pontcysyllte Aqueduct & Canal UNESCO World Heritage Site, Underneath the Arches is a music & light spectacular with a family-friendly atmosphere!

Nestled under the towering 126ft pillars is the Bont playing field which will be transformed into a picnic in the park style evening on Friday 14th July!

With live music from bands THE RHYTHM TRAIN, 32. RED, THE MOMENTS and BOBCAT BILLY'S MOONSHINE MISSION - we will wrap up the evening with a spectacular laser & firework show high above the Dee Valley!

Food & soft drinks will be available on-site, however we also encourage you to bring your own picnics too! Alcohol is permitted on-site, but limited. Please check out our website for more information!

Parking is FREE on the evening, but please note that there is a 0.5mile walk (downhill) from the car park and a 0.5mile (uphill) walk at the end of the evening. Shuttle buses will NOT be running this year.

Finally, we also advise caution if you have a disability due to the uneven nature of the field and access may be difficult for some people.

FAQs

Are there ID requirements or an age limit to enter the event?

No. You will only be challenged if our security staff suspect that you do not hold the correct ticket or if our scanners do not recognise your printed ticket or e-ticket.

Is there an alcohol limit again this year and will there be a bar on-site?

There WILL NOT be a bar on-site again this year.

Alcohol brought onto the event field will be strictly limited to either;

~ 6 x 440ml cans / or 330ml bottles of beer, lager or cider or,

~ 1 x 75cl bottle of wine or,

~ 1 x 50cl or 0.5ltr bottle of spirits

Failure to comply with these limits will result in a member of the security staff confiscating the alcohol before permitting entrance to the event field.

What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?

There is FREE public car parking at Trevor Basin (accessed only from the A539 and Station Road). There will be NO parking on Station Road and any unauthorised cars parking on Station Road (or adjacent roads), New Road, Mill Lane, the Trevor estate, Gate Road or the Bont will be removed on the evening.

Taxi / minibus drop-off's are permitted at Wimbourne Gate only and not on Station Road or Gate Road (Froncysyllte).

Access to the event by vehicle is not permitted from the A5 at Froncysyllte under any circumstances.

Please also note that there is a steep 0.5mile walk to the event field and no shuttle buses this year.

What can't I bring to the event?

You cannot bring the following onto the event field;

• Flags
• Windbreakers
• Tents
• Candles / tealights / BBQ's / sparklers / fireworks
• Knives (apart from plastic knives for food)
• Aerosols
• Pets or other animals (except guide dogs)

Is my registration/ticket transferrable?

No.

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?

YES. Entry will only be permitted by bringing a legible printed ticket or the e-ticket on your mobile device.
