About this event

  • Event lasts 2 hours

Join us on 6th November 2025 to learn how to understand addiction, and find out where you can get help. This webinar will help to raise awareness about how important it is to support addicts, and give you some information on what you can do and where you can go for help.

The UK has the highest prevalence of substance use in Europe, with approximately one third of all adults in England and Wales reported to have used a substance at least once in their lifetime.

People with addiction can often lose control over their actions. They crave and seek out alcohol or other substances no matter what the cost, even at the risk of damaging friendships, hurting family, or losing jobs.

The value of family involvement in substance use treatment cannot be overstated. Support from family members not only increases the likelihood of successful treatment, it can also help improve mental adjustment to addiction-free living, and even prevent relapses.

Join us to get to learn how to deal with addiction and how to help others in managing it.
