CAAS is hosting our next workshop in our series of free webinars available to parents and carers across NW London. We are delighted to be joined by Aimee Cave who will be presenting the session on Managing Risk: Understanding and Supporting Risky Behaviours in Neurodivergent Children and Young People.
Join us for an in-depth, practical session exploring the challenges and strengths of living with ADHD and / or autism. This workshop will cover:
- Risky behaviours in neurodivergent children and young people – what they are, why they happen, and how to break the cycle.
- Impulsivity and safe risk-taking – understanding the difference between impulsivity and spontaneity, and how to channel energy into positive risks.
- Creativity and innovation – celebrating the strengths of divergent thinking and how impulsivity can fuel creativity.
- Executive function – what it really means when tasks feel impossible, common daily struggles, and practical strategies to support task initiation and follow-through.
- Understanding variability in neurodivergent children and young people – recognising the diversity of ADHD and autistic presentations and avoiding stereotypes.
The session will be interactive, reflective, and strength-focused, offering both insights and practical strategies. This workshop will help deepen your understanding and provide tools to support your child or young person.
