A university-NHS partnership to enhance the translation of research discoveries into improvements in human health.

Over 1 in 5 people in the UK are affected by at least one allergic disorder. With these numbers steadily rising, the need to understand and effectively treat allergies is becoming increasingly important. In this seminar, two leading experts will discuss their pioneering research into allergies.
Adnan Custovic is Clinical Professor of Paediatric Allergy at Imperial College London and honorary consultant at ICHT. He will discuss his research on understanding allergy in children. 
Stephen Durham is Head of Section for Allergy and Clinical Immunology at the National Heart and Lung Institute, Imperial College and Professor of Allergy and Respiratory Medicine at Royal Brompton Hospital London. His talk will focus on prevention and cure of allergic disease rather than simply relieving symptoms.
Lunch will be served following the presentations.
