About this event

  • Event lasts 2 hours

Autistic meltdowns are one of the most misunderstood experiences that an autistic or PDA individual will go through. Autistic and PDA children and adults are regularly restrained during meltdowns and this has led to significant harm, trauma and in too many cases even death.

Viv Dawes (who is PDA and ADHD and experiences meltdowns) has 30 years experience of supporting neurodivergent people within the NHS, criminal justice system and in the community. In this 2 hour webinar Viv will help you understand meltdowns through a nervous system lens, looking at triggers and what are the best ways to support an individual without resorting to restraint.

This webinar is suitable for parents (of neurodivergent children or adults), carers, neurodivergent adults and professionals. Teachers, social workers, first responders and heath professionals will find this extremely useful learning.

The webinar will be recorded and ticket holders will have one years access after the event.
