The training is suitable for Third Sector workers and volunteers who have financial responsibilities and need to understand the content of financial statements and reports used in business, and learn to interpret this information and use it to manage day-to-day business activity.

- Understanding the main Financial Account Statements; Balance Sheet and Statement of Financial Activities (SOFA). Real Charity Financial Statements analysed.
- Financial Controls, measures used to identify problems and opportunities.
- Case Study on Charity Financial Statements. Participants will work in groups to review, comment and suggest issues with a set of Charity Financial Statements.
There will also be networking opportunities with other Third Sector organisations in attendance, where best practice and common issues can be discussed over lunch and during specific points in the session.
Light lunch will be provided.
