About this event

  • Event lasts 2 hours 15 minutes

If your organisation generates funds and accepts donations from the general public, it will need to be GDPR compliant. Whilst charities and not for profits aren’t collecting personal data for profit, they are collecting data on clients, donors, employees and volunteers and can therefore be prone to data breaches and privacy violations.

The General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) applies to all organisations, no matter how big or small they are or what industry they operate in. Whilst initially it may appear overwhelming, particularly for smaller charities or voluntary groups, it can be easy to comply with, if you know how.

Delivered by Joanne Walton of E2E Education, their ‘Introduction to GDPR’ course will help you understand how GDPR presents opportunities for you to build trust with the public, become more resilient and get better value from your data – a win win for all community sector organisations! It will also cover key elements of the law and good practice to help you ensure you comply in a responsible manner.
