CHIRAG PATEL: BEHAVIOUR & TRAINING CONSULTANT

Chirag runs Domesticated Manners in London, UK. From here he consults on the ethical and science based practice for the behaviour management and training of domestic, zoo and laboratory animals. He works with private clients, organisations as well as running workshops for professionals internationally. Chirag is also a senior training and behaviour advisor for the UKs largest canine rescue charity, <A HREF="https://www.dogstrust.org.uk/" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Dogs Trust</A>.
Chirag earned his BSc (Hons) in Veterinary Sciences from the <A HREF="http://www.rvc.ac.uk/" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Royal Veterinary College in London</A> and a Postgraduate Certificate in Clinical Animal Behaviour from the <A HREF="http://www.lincoln.ac.uk/home/course/biocabms/" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">University of Lincoln</A>, UK. Chirag is also a certified parrot behaviour consultant (CPBC), with the <A HREF="http://iaabc.org/" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">International Association of Animal Behaviour Consultants (IAABC)</A>. Chirag is also currently continuing his education by studying for a MSc in Applied Behaviour Analysis. In 2005, Chirag completed an internship in behaviour and training with a focus on aggressive behaviour under the mentorship of <A HREF="https://www.academyfordogtrainers.com/" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Jean Donaldson</A> at the <A HREF="https://www.sfspca.org/" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">San Francisco SPCA</A> and developed his understanding and skills in puppy training under the mentorship of Ian Dunbar.
His passion is the application of behaviour change science and ethics to improve the life of animals living under human care, especially applying training principles to teach animals to be active participants in their own daily and veterinary care in a stress free manner.

Location and parking:
Canons Brook golf club is located off of Elizabeth way in Harlow, CM19 5BE. The venue is 10 minutes from the M11 junction. There is a large FREE car park at the venue.
Please note this course is theory based, therefore any dogs attending will need to remain in cars/vans in the car park. There will be plenty of breaks should you choose to bring your dog and there is an area to allow your dog to stretch their legs and toilet. Whilst every effort will be made to support your dog’s comfort they remain the responsibility of their Human at all times.
