Who is this for: Social Care professionals and carers supoprting Looked After Children, Previously Looked After Children and Children in Need

Attendees will understand the changes to the SEND system that took place following the Children and Families Act (2014) and understand key terminology relating to SEND. They will understand their role in relation to children/young people with SEND and their role with the EHC Need Assessment process. Attendees will also understand the role of the Virtual School, the role of the Designated Social Care Officer (DSCO) and how to access support and advice when working with children with SEND.
