This session is aimed at parents/carers of PRIMARY and SECONDARY school-aged children. *Other sessions in North and South Manchester are available also*
This workshop is led by a Specialist Occupational Therapist in the Social Communication Pathway and will provide the opportunity to:
- Develop your understanding of sensory systems. E.g., Touch, smell, taste, movement and introduce less familiar systems such as proprioception and interception.
- Consider how neurodivergent individuals may experience sensory differences.
- Think about how sensory differences can affect everyday activities.
- Explore strategies that may be considered when supporting a neurodivergent individual.
- Hear about the experiences of other families and share your own experiences if you wish.
Biscuits, tea and coffee will be provided. However, lunch isn't covered so please make sure to bring your own food for the lunch break.
