While cameras and microphones are optional, you’ll still have the opportunity to ask questions and interact with others if you wish. This 90-minute training session provides essential knowledge and practical insights into threshold guidance in safeguarding, tailored specifically for those working in the creative and cultural sectors. Designed for individuals responsible for making safeguarding decisions and reports, the session will equip participants with the tools and understanding needed to assess whether a concern should be escalated to the safeguarding partnership.

Through clear explanations and real-world examples, attendees will:

• Gain a solid understanding of safeguarding threshold criteria and their importance in decision-making.
• Learn how to apply these thresholds to real-life situations, ensuring consistent and appropriate responses.
• Explore the key factors to consider when determining whether a concern meets the criteria for reporting to the safeguarding partnership.
• Understand the legal and ethical responsibilities involved in making safeguarding reports, including considerations around consent to share information.

This session will empower participants to make confident, informed decisions, ensuring that safeguarding concerns are handled effectively and in line with best practice in the creative and cultural sectors.
