About the speaker

Balancing self care with a work life

Carla Maroussas has over 25 years of experience in senior management roles within the music, TV, and film industries, where she utilised her natural leadership abilities and extensive knowledge of sales.

However, despite her career success, Carla began to feel a sense of dissatisfaction and misalignment with their values and beliefs. The constant hustle and high workload led to feelings of being overwhelmed and unfulfilled. Carla realised she needed a change, but was unsure of what direction to take.

The turning point came when she recognised the importance of her core values, particularly in connection with starting a family. This led her to make the courageous decision to resign from their position as Managing Director, prioritising self-care and a value-driven life over fear and financial security.

This choice, while initially daunting, was ultimately liberating and marked the first step toward a more purposeful and fulfilling path. At this month’s event in this inspiring and deeply human chat, Richard Excell will explore Carla’s journey through her earlier career, the ups and downs, the turning point, developing a new business and how she balanced self care with a work life.
