Justlife Foundation works with people who are close to the streets, we aim tomake people’s experience of housing vulnerability as short, safe and healthy as possible.We are in existence because we know that every time we don’t act another person living in unsupported temporary accommodation suffers. They suffer with deteriorating mental and physical health, become victims of crime, lose control of their life, drop off the bottom rung of the housing ladder or die prematurely.

Register for the first ever Unsupported Temporary Accommodation Conference, focusing on homelessness in some of the most hidden places in England and how we can work together towards a collaborative solution.This conference follows a year after a Parliamentary Event launching Justlife's latest report, <A HREF="https://www.justlife.org.uk/research/the-journey-home-full-toolkit/" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">The Journey Home: Building a solution to unsupported temporary accommodation</A>, published with the Institute for Public Policy Research (IPPR) North, which highlighted how living in unsupported temporary accommodation affects residents’ health and wellbeing and put forward recommendations for change. What is Unsupported Temporary Accommodation? 
Homeless households living in unsupported temporary accommodation are hidden and forgotten in one of the darkest corners of the private rented market. They are 'unsupported' due to the limited access to statutory or non-statutory support to find alternative accommodation, and 'temporary' because they have no permanent residency status, no tenancy and very few rights.
Why is change needed?
Once people enter unsupported temporary accommodation they experience a sharp decline in health and wellbeing. Despite this, there remains a staggeringly small amount of attention and resource placed on unsupported temporary accommodation which affects thousands of people in England.
