One of two University of Manchester Wellcome Institutional Strategic Support Fund ‘Sandpit’ events taking place in 2022
About this event
The Multi-modal Data Integration with Biomedical Applications sandpit is a 1 day event, scheduled to take place from 10.00 to 16.00 on Thursday 21st April.
This is an online event
We are hosting a sandpit to stimulate new Biomedical/AI collaborative activity, focused on Multi-modal data integration with biomedical applications.
Kinds of data that can be combined may include (but will not be limited to) imaging, textual and omics (incl. single-cell, spatial and multi-omics) datasets.
The morning session will feature invited speakers and lightening talks from attendees.
In the afternoon session, participants will explore the application of statistical and machine learning approaches to biomedical data integration and develop proposals.
Following the event our review panel will award funding for a number of projects.
