Allens Cross Community Garden

This half term get creative and learn how to reduce the amount of plastic in your life with the ecobirmingham team at Allens Cross Community Garden in Northfield. Create a colourful upcycled Bird House with artist ILdikó Nagy from a plastic drinks bottle. Add a spot of colour in your garden this Winter and feed the wildlife that visit! About the sessions: These sessions will be held outdoors unless there is bad weather (when it will take place in Allens Cross Community Association building next door). The session will also include painting. Please dress appropriately. This activity is recommended for ages 3 +. All children must be accompanied by an adult. Your safety is important to us: We are following health and safety advice with additional measures and standards also in place:<ul><li>Please do not arrive more than 10 minutes before your session. </li><li>Please wait at the garden gates for a member of staff to welcome you to the garden.</li><li>Track and Trace logging on entrance. </li><li>One household (or bubble) per session with no more than 5 people. </li><li>All children must be accompanied and supervised by an adult. </li><li>Social distancing maintained throughout sessions. </li><li>Hand sanitiser and cleaning products will be available. </li><li>The whole session will take place outside unless extreme bad weather. Please be prepared to be in the outdoors. However, if you need to enter the Allens Cross Community Association building, a face covering must be worn. </li><li>We have a strict cleaning regime of all equipment and stations used. </li></ul>Cost: The sessions are free, however we do appreciate donations if you are able, and will be accepting them on the day. Donations from people like you are essential to ensure we can continue our important work across the city: <ul><li>£5 could help us run a cycle route-finding session to get more people in the city out of their cars and on their bikes. </li><li>£10 could enable us to run outdoor education sessions which encourage children to value the natural environment. </li><li>£15 could help us work with a community particularly impacted by the pandemic to return stronger and more sustainably. </li></ul> Location: Allens Cross Community Garden, 24 Tinkers Farm Road Northfield, Birmingham, B31 1RH. Allens Cross Community Garden is a short walk from Northfield High Street. Located just off Frankley Beeches Road, it is also close to the 18, 27, 44, 61, 878 and 844 bus routes. There are bike racks available. There is also a car park onsite if needed.
