THE PATHWAY TO SUCCESSFUL OUTCOMES

The programme discusses the bacteriology, diagnosis and management of endodontic disease in general practice, focusing on the use of the latest generation of endodontic file systems, Hyflex EDM and Hyflex OGSF sequence files from COLTENE.

Objectives:

1. To understand the aetiology and biology of endodontic disease.
2. To consider what special investigations to use and how to come up with a diagnosis.
3. To accurately assess working length and maintain it throughout treatment
4. To understand glide path formation and it’s importance.
5. To appreciate the different designs of hand files and why they are important.
6. To understand the importance of apical gauging.
7. To review irrigation materials and techniques to achieve thorough disinfection.
8. To access the metallurgy and design of Hyflex EDM Onefile and OGSF.

Learning Outcomes:

After completion, delegates will:

1. Have a comprehensive understanding of endodontic disease and it’s causes.
2. Confidently achieve a diagnosis.
3. Be able to reliably assess both vertical and horizontal dimensions of canals.
4. Reliably achieve and maintain glide path.
5. Shape canals reliably and safely with Hyflex EDM Onefile and OGSF.
6. Safely achieve disinfection of the canal system.

Mr Michael Turner

BDS (Liverpool) MSc (Endodontology)

Michael is a Post-graduate lecturer and MSc tutor at the highly respected SimplyEndo in Formby, Merseyside. He runs an NHS practice in Middlesborough and takes all types of Endodontic referrals in his referral centre in Guisborough, North Yorkshire.

Michael has a passion for Post-graduate education and has been a PLVE trainer for many years.

Starting his Endodontic journey in Liverpool and continuing when he moved to the North East of England, Michael completed his Endodontology Masters Degree in 2017 and was asked to teach on the SimplyEndo Msc course in 2018. This comprises the foundation 10 Day course up to the more advanced MSc year when Michael is a dissertation supervisor. Michael became a Coltene trainer in 2019 and has lectured extensively across the UK for COLTENE.

Michael’s wide ranging clinical experience has resulted in a knowledgeable and relaxed teaching style covering simple concepts to more advanced work.

Customer Cancellations and Course Transfer Requests

A course cancellation request or a request to transfer to another course date, must be emailed to COLTENE at info.uk@coltene.com.

Course Transfer Requests

1. Email received no later than 6 working days prior to a course date

• You will be offered a new course date where there are spaces available and at no extra cost.

• If no suitable course date can be found and you choose to cancel your course, you will be offered a full refund minus the Eventbrite booking fee; that cost will be confirmed in your refund confirmation.

2. Email received within 6 working days of a course date

• If we are able to fill your vacant space, you will be offered a new course date where there are spaces available and at no extra cost.

• If we are unable to fill your vacant space or no suitable course date can be found, your course fee will be retained in full.

You are allowed to transfer your course date on two occasions only, except where agreed by COLTENE, otherwise the cancellation terms, below, will apply.

Course Cancellation Requests

2. Email received within 6 working days of a course date

COLTENE Cancellations

• On the rare occasion that a course has to be cancelled for any reason, you will be offered an alternative course date.

• If no suitable course date can be found, you will be offered a full refund.

• Please note that COLTENE will not be held liable for any accommodation costs, travel costs or any other loss incurred should an event be cancelled.
