Easy paced, 3. hour Southwark Cyclists ride. Quiet route via Charlton and Woolwich. Lots to see, everyone welcome.
Start 10am at the Cutty Sark next to the Tunnel entrance. Head up to Greenwich hill, through the park onto Charlton House and Park. The ride continues past the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on to HaHa Road, across Woolwich Common, past the Royal Military Academy (now housing), turning onto Herbert road and down Sandy Hill road. After reaching Woolwich Arsenal will stop for a coffee break and then ride back to Greenwich via Woolwich Road, which now has relatively new cycle lanes (some construction still) most of the way back to Greenwich town centre. The duration of this ride will be around 3 hours, getting back to Cutty Sark at 1pm. Mike K. leading.
Riders of all ages are welcome on Healthy Rides but under 18s must be accompanied by a responsible adult. Same for “adults at risk”.
