Upside-down: Handstand Activation Workshop
Build strength, confidence and body awareness upside down in this playful handstand workshop, with clear drills for all levels.
This 2 hour workshop offers a playful and energising space to explore going upside down with clarity, confidence and support.
Through clear technique, progressive drills and mindful strength work, you’ll be guided to build the foundations for a safe and steady handstand practice. Expect a mix of wall work, props, partner support and alignment-based cues to help you understand how to activate your shoulders, core and whole body with more awareness.
You’ll learn how to kick up safely, explore balance, and perhaps begin to find a float if that is available to you. The workshop is designed to meet you where you are, with progressions offered for different levels of experience.
Set within Miller’s Way Project, a calm and characterful wellness space in Shepherd’s Bush, this session invites you to move, focus, play and challenge yourself in a supportive environment. You’ll leave feeling stronger, more balanced, more confident and more connected to your body.
This is an accessible and encouraging workshop, open to all levels. No advanced handstand experience is needed, just a willingness to explore, try, and have fun.
